To make our vision possible, we are seeking passionate, motivational and dynamic Engagement & Support Workers who will mentor people who are being supervised by the National Probation Service. You will provide practical and emotional support in the community, to support people to live positive lives, improve their wellbeing, and build community connections.

You will work in partnership with staff, volunteers, and the people we support to guarantee that we maintain a high-quality service which meets the needs of those engaged. You will maintain an effective, responsive, and collaborative relationship with stakeholders within Greater Manchester. We actively welcome applications from people who have lived experience of prison or probation, addiction, mental ill-health, or homelessness, as this is often the reality for those people we support.

Typical duties will include monitoring complexities, outcomes, and risk information for those who are matched with you. Completing assessments and care plans/action plans once trained accordingly, monitoring journeys including completing quarterly reviews of progress, quality assurance and producing case studies and good practice. The work is mostly conducted face to face, and this include delivering practical and emotional support, weekly where possible for all mentees. Case loads max at 15 people per support worker. Home working is not typically conducted in this role as it is office/community based.
