New Project to Change Lives

CLI, Aqua Steam Clean UK and Manchester College have joined forces on a new venture to transform the lives of people who thought they had been written off. Many of CLI’s service users are motivated to prove themselves in the world of work and create a brighter future for themselves. Having a criminal record can be seen as a real barrier to this positive change. Director Peter Atherton said “Sometimes you are determined to prove yourself but you can’t find anyone who is willing to take a chance on you. Then you start to question yourself and whether change is really possible. If there is anything CLI can do to make that path easier we will”.

Aqua Steam Clean UK specialise in both Domestic and Commercial Cleaning using environmentally friendly products wherever possible. Founder Scott Glover is keen to see those who are committed to change given a chance in the workplace. A short voluntary trial period will be used to establish if the service user is motivated and suited to the role. Following this Aqua are willing to offer an 18 month apprenticeship. Whilst Aqua offer on the job training, Manchester college will help the service users with N.V.Q courses relating to the cleaning industry and other areas such as business admin.
