From the age 14 until the age 27, Thomas suffered from substance addiction and abuse. Serious physical ill health, mental health breakdown, troubles with the law and periods spent homeless on the streets of Manchester is just a snapshot of the life lead by Thomas at this time. After years of being processed in and out of services of every kind, without any success, Thomas eventually managed to get himself clean and sober by way of a residential treatment centre in 2014.
In January 2015 Thomas began dedicating himself toward volunteering in the field of homelessness, substance abuse and offending. Thomas now works for Turning Point as a Bid Coordinator.
