COMMUNITY LED INITIATIVES
IOM Support Worker
Salary – £19,817, Full Time Post – 37.5 hours p/w, 28 days holiday, Pension and Life Insurance.
Community Led Initiatives CIC was set up by people who had been to prison and faced the difficulty in building a new life when released. Understanding those challenges has enabled us to support other people going through the same experience.
Building on the success of our IOM mentoring project, CLI has opened recruitment for a support worker to be based in our Manchester team. We want to recruit someone who has:
- personal experience of prison and probation at some point in their life
- a desire to help others
- great communication skills
- a willingness to learn
- positive energy and enthusiasm
The role of Support Worker is to provide practical and emotional support whilst being a positive role model. See the following short film to get a sense of the work that we do.
About the role – You will encourage the people you work with to recognise their strengths and build on them to make positive and sustained changes in their lives. There will be ongoing in-role support for the successful candidate which will provide opportunities for your own personal and professional development.
Recruitment Information – We will be adopting a person-centred, values-based approach to our recruitment by removing the need for CV’s, application forms and formal interviews. Instead, we aim to get to know our candidates through informal “getting to know you” activities and conversations.
For further information about the role, the benefits of working for CLI and to express an interest in becoming a candidate, email: firstname.lastname@example.org or call Simone on: 07872 061 116
The deadline for expressions of interest is: noon on Monday the 16th of July, 2018
