Dr. Gill Buck

Gill is a senior lecturer in social work at the University of Chester and her research interests include peer led services, criminal justice, youth justice and the voluntary sector. As the programme leader for BA Social Work at Chester, she teaches social work theory and methods; human growth and development; and sociology and social policy.

She is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a member of the British Society of Criminology, the National Association of Youth Justice and the Howard League for Penal Reform and before working in research and teaching, spent eight years as a social worker in a youth offending team.
