About CLI

CLI was pioneered by ex-offenders, working with criminal justice partners to provide mentoring support to other offenders. Now CLI has service level agreements in place with commissioners across the country who believe that the CLI approach can create lasting change for individuals and families affected by offending and substance misuse. The CLI team has achieved the status of an Approved Provider Standard (APS) commended service and as a best practice provider on the Mentoring and Befriending Foundation quality assurance framework.

We’ve been working with CLI for many years and the relationships they build with people coming out of prison is invaluable- people that engage with CLI for more than six months after being released from prison are 75% less likely to reoffend

“It was a difficult time for us to transition from our old service to the new one but CLI really helped provide us with a sense of direction.”
